Myths of fertility treatment – what it is about
Over the past 40 years, the number of couples involuntarily remaining childless has risen sharply – some authors already speak of an “epidemic of childlessness”.
The success story of fertility treatment, however, has also produced a flood of sensationalist reports, creating the impression that anything is possible – from genetically optimised designer babies to pregnancy at an advanced age. At this event we want to shed light on some of these myths and, together with experts, present the current state of the science.
